It has about 11,000 inhabitants and has two population centers, Teulada, located in the interior, and Moraira, a small fishing town on the coast dominated by tourism and located 4 kilometers from the first. The climate of this Town is practically the same as all the municipalities of the Marina Alta region, in general, little rain during the year, hot in summer and little cold and mild in winter. From the town you can see and witness the snowfall that occurs in winter in the Sierra de Bernia.
Los pies del Castillo
It extends the beach of L‘ampolla, the busiest, urban and extensive of the beaches of fine golden sand of the town. The tranquility and quality of its waters and the proximity to the urban center of Moraira make it a beach where you can find the best services. In its surroundings you can enjoy the Marjal del Senillar, a coastal wetland declared a Wildlife Reserve.
Las "Platgetes"
They are two small coves of clean water beach that alternate area of fine sand and rock, and have an attractive promenade with garden and parking. In it we find an access channel to the sea for small boats.
Moraira
It also has four quieter coves with clean, crystalline waters called Cap Blanc, L'andragó, Pôrtitxol and Llebeig.
The historic center of the villa
The so-called Gothic walled Teulada, declared of cultural interest, with the category of "Historic Complex", presents unique characteristics in the Valencian Community. The area, popularly known as "la Vila", is the old walled town.
